Chairman & Trustee - Richard Jones - B.Sc.Agriculture - Reading University Farmer involved in cattle dairying in UK since 1972, goat dairying and yoghurt manufacture in UK and Uganda since 1988, and ice-cream production from 2001. Involved in development of Dolen Ffermio cattle AI scheme from 1995 and goat improvement programmes, and supply of milk cooling and processing equipment to Uganda and Kenya. Organised conference on grass-based dairy systems and their relevance to low cost dairy production in Uganda 2001. Supplied New Zealand dairy cattle semen. |

Vice Chairman & Trustee - Lorna Brown B.V.Sc.,M.Sc.,MRCVS - Liverpool University Veterinary practitioner in UK for 20 years, and instructor for Agricultural Training Board. University lecturer, research in equatorial countries for 13 years, including trypanosomiasis, animal disease survey and control measures. Involved in development of Dolen Ffermio cattle AI and goat improvement schemes since 1991. Specialises in farm animal breeding technologies, including ultrasound |

Vice Chairman & Trustee - Emyr Owen - B.Sc., Ph.D. Agriculture – University of Wales, Bangor. Professor Emeritus, University of Reading, UK. Emyr has spent over 30 years at Reading lecturing in animal production and supervising postgraduates from developing countries. Participated in livestock-research projects in East Africa and Asia, funded by the Livestock Production Programme (LPP) of the UK Department for International Development (DFID). Secretary & Trustee - Val Talbot Val is a retired English teacher in the secondary and FE sectors. She acted as a volunteer for Oxfam for many years on their speakers’ panel and as a member of a campaign group. For the past 9 years she has concentrated on Fairtrade and in 2006 was part of the group which successfully campaigned to have Oswestry designated as a Fairtrade Town. She joined Dolen Ffermio in 2006 and has been working on administration and fund-raising |

Treasurer & Trustee - Chas Nicholson Chas worked in the Ministry of Overseas Development and also taught in Zambia from 1970 - 1976. He was a Founder Member of Honeysuckle Wholefood Cooperative 1978 - 2007 |

Trustee - Tim Smith Tim first went to Africa as a volunteer in the sixties, helping establish a village in Tanzania. He then worked at the Dairy Research Institute at Reading before joining the research service in Zimbabwe, where he concentrated on ruminant nutrition, particularly aspects affecting resource-poor smallholder crop/ livestock farmers. He was also head of the Matopos Research Station. Since 1996 he has been involved with related projects in several African and Asian countries, including Uganda. |

Also studying for M.Sc. in livestock development, planning and management at Makerere University
