Mission Statement and Plans for CREATE - established in 1998
CREATE exists to empower young people living in rural areas to develop healthy lifestyles and to promote opportunities for them to grow into responsible citizens and attain quality life.
Communities with young people who have high morals and practice healthy lifestyles, are knowledgeable of their rights and responsibilities, and are capable of using this knowledge for building families and communities that are sociable and prosperous.
A nationally reputable resource centre established in Kumi that is perceived by the local community as a provider of information and other key resources for development of young people and the entire community.
Immediate Plans
I To Promote and Consolidate the Resource Centre
Organise interactive meetings at the centre and invite a cross-section of the community to discuss topical issues such as adolescent reproductive health, human rights, democratisation in Uganda, privatisation, etc.
II Promote and Consolidate Outreach Programme
III To strengthen Our Organisational capacity in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
Long Term Plans
IV Develop CREATE tele-centre and establish outreach centres in remote and more disadvantaged villages
